Elhaam Academy Becomes a Community Hotspot with Family-Focused Events in Jamaica

On Saturday, April 12, Elhaam Academy in Jamaica transformed into a vibrant community hub, bringing families together for a powerful day of connection, learning, and empowerment.

In partnership with local and citywide groups Save The People, Malikah, the Muslim Community Center (MCC), and NYC Council Member Nantasha Williams—the academy hosted three inspiring events. The focus? Strengthening family bonds, teaching self-defense skills, and promoting literacy in the community.

Located at 87-41 165th St. in Council District 27, Elhaam Academy serves families from across Southeast Queens—including Jamaica, Cambria Heights, Hollis, and St. Albans. As a faith-based school, Elhaam often teams up with grassroots organizations to offer enriching academic and social programs for both students and their families.
